A lot more forgiving than Test Drive - in that one it was game over if you made contact with so much as a stop sign, or redlined your car.

I had the PC version. I remember thinking, oh my god the graphics are so good in this. It'll never get more realistic looking! It still doesn't look bad, to tell you the truth. The photorealistic textures still sort of work.
