Pffft, "inches from death" seriously? A gator that size won't kill you. It might take a hand or a foot, but if you're that close to civilization, odds of death are practically nil.
I agree dude, there was never any danger to her as long as she's able to slam her hands down on the grass and flail her legs around wildly.
I'm a Bouncer and I've been around alligators 5 meters long. I'm still alive.
Seriously, though. A gator that size can be shooed away with a broom. It's a danger to you if you're a Chihuahua, but not otherwise.
Feed and breed. That's about all gators will do.
