I've never played this series, but that's some pretty good animation even on the SNES version.

By the way, Super Fire Pro Wrestling Special has a single player mode written by Suda 51. In it, the protagonist accidentally kills his best friend in the ring, his coach is murdered, his girlfriend walks out on him and watches his tag partner killed by his rival (a stand in for Ric Flair).

At the end, the protagonist is the undisputed champion of the world but realizes that he has no one to share it with and that there are no more challenges left. Three days after winning the title, he shoots himself.

Negative all the stars in the world for whatever song this is, but infinite stars for "A Winner is You." These all look like fun

It's a Crystal Method remix of some Linkin Park song.

If you have a PS3 or 4, Fire Pro Returns can be downloaded from the PS2 classic section.

Does it allow saves of characters downloaded onto a PC? Being able to transfer my old saves (the ones I downloaded and the ones I made myself) would be pretty huge.

MacGyver Style Bomb - 2014-04-06

Yeah, there's whole communities based around it. You just need a thumb drive and make sure that the file formats and directory paths are the same. I've done this plenty of times with save games of PS1 and PS2 games I've gotten off of GameFAQs and my PS3 memory card reader.

Hey MGSB, the download page says "This version does not support PS2 peripherals, therefore functionalities such as multiplayer, versus, and co-op mode are not available".

Whazzat? Do they mean ONLINE versus is unsupported? Or any sort of versus mode whatsoever, including offline? If the PS3 remake doesn't support 2-player offline matches, I think I'll get a PS2 disc instead.

Oh, I know very well of the online communities, and have a decent roster cobbled from one of the larger fansites. Unfortunately, I lost the card that had my one creation, a spot-on version of the Anticristo who sandbags and blows moves just like the real deal. If I can load that roster onto a PS4 and play the game legitimately, holy shit does that kill any chance of me siding with the Xbox One.

MacGyver Style Bomb - 2014-04-07

EH, the original PS2 version didn't have online to begin with, so no losses there. The rest is perhaps a blanket form disclaimer for all the PS2 games put on PSN since you obviously can't plug in any PS2 accessories into the PS3. Now, the PS2 version did support the multi-tap, which I think the PS3 already emulates (pull up the home menu and reassign the controllers).

But local two player should not be a problem.

Oh my God. I just downloaded the SNES one... it's got BAS RUTTEN and SABU! The Wikipedia article mentions there are barbedwire-and-lightbulb matches, but I can't seem to find out how to enable them; maybe those are only in later titles?

This series looks outstanding so far. Unfortunately, I don't have the faintest idea what any of the moves are, and the controls seem really complicated. Does the PS3/2 version have an English tutorial? And there seems to be a lot of customization options; does anyone know if this was the series that Yuke's got it's CAW mode from?
