Stars for ignoring Joan of Arc as she's burned alive.

Binro the Heretic - 2014-04-05

Hey, in the movie they plucked her out of the past, used her to get a good grade in history then dumped her back in the past knowing she would be killed soon thereafter.

In fact, if you think about it, they grabbed her while she was kneeling in prayer at church and whisked her away to a strange place where she was told she would lead the French to victory against the English. Bill & Ted may have been the "divine visitation" that started her down the road to her martyrdom.

It's super weird.. Just yesterday before this video my housemate puts on Bill and Ted. I honestly don't think I've seen it as an adult. It's one of the few movies I can say I enjoyed as a kid, but gets funnier and smarter as I get older. Buckaroo Banzai's another example.

Is this what the game really sounds like? This is horrible (-ly wonderful) even by PC Speaker standards. Especially for a game based on a movie where music played a significant role.

wackyakmed - 2014-04-05

@infinite zest: I think it depends on the sound chip. I played it on a Tandy 1000 as a kid and remembering the digitized speech and audio being pretty good for the time.

Yeah.. I used to have Wayne's World on my 386 with a pc speaker and it could still do speech. They were developed by the same company.

If I remember correctly it came on 15 floppy disks and the game sucked. Oh the sacrifices our generation had to make...

Scrimmjob - 2014-04-06

I'm guessing this guy didn't set up the audio right for whatever emulation he is running this on. I remember seeing this game in the store once, I'm glad i went with something else after watching this.

Does "boner" submit things without a description sometimes JUST to screw with me? At first glance does it not always look like the description is "boner"?

Is that a picture of Elvis on Beethoven's wall?

Binro the Heretic - 2014-04-06

That or Liberace.

infinite zest - 2014-04-06

I like how the preload image's "violin in the corner" is A.) not in a corner and B.) the size of a stand up bass, unless Bill and Ted shrunk due to time travelling so much.

infinite zest - 2014-04-06

Just curious, but who are the other people on the side bar that Bill and Ted are supposed to pick up? I recognize Genghis Kahn, Joan of Arc, Beethoven, Abraham Lincoln because of his hat, and Napoleon because he always had a big red "N" on his hat. But besides Freud and Socrates, that's like four more historical figures?
