I just can't give a fuck about his death. Andy Rooney was worth missing, but this guy? Naah.

I repeat my comment from there too. Why aren't you guys posting Mr. Yunioshi clips? Forget Andy Hardy, everyone knows that that performance will always stand as his finest.

If you're under a certain age, you're not going to miss him. When I was a kid, he was all over television, so I feel kind of sentimental, but more than that, it's just the passing of a generation. Mickey Rooney and Shirley Temple may have been the last 1930s movie stars we had left.

It's weird that you submitted the exact same thing I did kind of, out of all the movies he's been in.

Jet Bin Fever - 2014-04-08

yeah, the guy was in over 90 movies. Spread it around.

This is true, I half-recant. I'm under 30, but my mom made me watch AMC when I was a kid.

I'm mid-thirties and this guy was in some of my favourite movies as a kid. I will miss him a great deal.

It's not that weird. It's the perfect obit clip, in so many ways. I posted it on my blog. I saw that a shorter version had been posted. If I realized that it had been posted YESTERDAY, I would have held back. Sorry.

This is a weird performance, over the top, yet it sort of works for Puck's character. In the related videos, I saw a scene with James Cagney as Bottom that was just perfect. I'd like to see this movie again, for Cagney's performance.

Incidentally, there's a BBC version from around 1980 where Puck is portrayed as looking for all the world like Sid Vicious. Coincidence? I hope not.

This is the first time I mentioned my blog in here. Might as well post the url

I read it as "Mickey Rooney as Punk." That's punk as fuck.

"As I was going to Saint Ives,
I met a man with seven wives.
I know it sounds absurd and looney,
But that poor man was Mickey Rooney."

(A slightly out of date Mad Magazine poem)

Kenneth Anger claims to have been tbe kidnapped babt in this film, but it's highly disputed and ns much as we love Kenneth Anger (and we do, we really do) that is the sort of thing he'd lie about.

Every well appointed bourgeois home MUST have a copy of "Hollywood Babylon", next to the family Bible.
