Haha, it's a pretty great dub. Sadly, the lips don't match up well enough. He was a bouncer though, which is a pretty great former occupation for a pope. It sure beats Hitler Youth like old Ratzinger.
He did his fair share of fighting the atrocities in Argentina, many of which were sanctioned by the Catholic establishment. I think that changed his views of the establishment.
Jesuits are tough bastards. My father told stories of one of his old Jesuit teachers who didn't take crap from anyone, or as he told his students "If you're looking for sympathy, you can find it in the dictionary between shit and syphilis."

I too am a door guy and work at two churchs, and I sang in a choir as a boy that was the first American choir to be allowed into Vatican City to sing for the pope, and shook hands with John Paul II. I'm actually thinking of going to divinity school because it's cheap as fuck too.
