John Holmes Motherfucker - 2014-04-17 If you've never seen MODERN FAMILY, I believe there's a great episode currently available on HULU, from a couple of weeks of weeks ago, with a guest appearance by Patton Oswalt. Kind of classic stuff, intricately plotted comedy in a hotel with lots of mistaken identities.

Think on what a delusional statement this is for any number of reasons. This man is pretty much your typical conservative that hates gays but on top of that, and this is what makes things really special, he worships the past so much he doesn't think any men or women were unhappy in their marriages. Wow.

"Modern Family" is not going to age well. The title, for one thing. But also, the gay guys are very much "stepping stones": they serve the vital role of bridging the gap between stereotype gays and actual human beings, and the stereotypes are not going to wear well over time. That said, I don't imagine Jesse Tyler Ferguson (who is gay in real life) is tremendously disappointed to play a part in rendering the stereotypes obsolete.
