You don't understand guy, The Path is ART with a captial A. Being an "Art" game means a game doesn't actually have to have decent graphics, or not look like something that would have been booed off of circa 2002 Newgrounds, or not look like a piece of garbage that was coded in a few afternoons in a 'garage' studio by a clutch of back-patting trust fund dorks, or have mechanics that actually work well, nor need to have it's amateur hour sloppiness be defended by 'critics' as 'charming'.

Because someone claims to be aspiring to make a game that is intended to be more than just another shooter for the filthy casuals, you shouldn't actually try to hold their work to something resembling standards, because that's enforcing the corporatist status quo and you just want all games to be lookalike FPS for good. Or something.
