See if your stupid smart car can do that.

Old_Zircon - 2014-05-06

By "that" you mean "function," right?

infinite zest - 2014-05-06

Everyone needs to drive a vehicle, even the very tall.

infinite zest - 2014-05-06

would you like it if I laughed at your misfortune?

sasazuka - 2014-05-06

Do you find something comical about my appearance when I am driving my automobile?

infinite zest - 2014-05-06

...I guess so

EvilHomer - 2014-05-07

For IZ and sasazuka. Even though you butchered the order.

Is this really Ford's biggest van? I mean, Ford's biggest van now, sure, but Ford's biggest van ever? I seem to recall that the insides of those 1970-80s Ford Econoline vans were huge, but then again, I was much smaller at the time. Not that I'd have any reason to go into the back of a Ford Transit Van today, as I'm an adult and can buy my own candies and puppies, damnit! (j/k)

Incidentally, speaking of the Peel P50, the hilarious TOP GEAR clip of Jeremy Clarkson driving one around *inside* the BBC offices was submitted and approved in 2007, but the linked clip got taken down for copyright reasons. I resubmitted the clip from the official TOP GEAR channel, if anyone wants to vote on it: http://www.poetv.com/video.php?vid=25780

Is this really the world's smallest car? A google search says "yes" but I think I saw one the other day that I think was even thinner. It was parked behind a Ford Taurus for some perspective, but I think you could park three of them behind a Taurus easily. I always thought these little cars were funny until I saw one motoring around bigger cars in a traffic jam.

sasazuka - 2014-05-06

I know there are some homemade one-offs like that Postman Pat kiddy ride conversion that are even smaller, but those aren't production cars.

Wikipedia says the Peel P50 was the smallest production car ever "until 2000" but there's a "citation needed" and no mention of what might have surpassed it.

The world is so big and I am so tiny!

Gmork - 2014-05-06

Is it in yet?

jaunch - 2014-05-06

I think they really wanted to use Yakity Sax.

sasazuka - 2014-05-06

Oh, yeah, good point, that occurred to me as well. This is kind of the off-brandversion of "Yakity Sax", sort of like how cable shows like STORAGE WARS have a whole royalty-free library of such knock-off tracks as "almost MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE theme" and "not exactly 'Gonna Fly Now/ROCKY theme'".

Ford could've licensed "Mahna Mahna" for this, as an instrumental version of that was also used on BENNY HILL (usually for the street set gag montages).

infinite zest - 2014-05-06

Isn't Yakkity Sax public domain now?

infinite zest - 2014-05-06

Oh. Short answer: Not in the US it isn't. Other countries it is!

infinite zest - 2014-05-06

I only asked because of that episode of Mr. Show, the "Racist in the Year 3000" sketch, because most Mr. Show sketches are pretty good about using knock-off tracks but they totally used Yakkity Sax.
