You could say he was not the brightest bulb, in that light bulbs hadn't been invented yet.

SolRo - 2014-05-12

I see what you did ther...AHH MY EYES!

Oscar Wildcat - 2014-05-12

He blinded me, WITH SCIENCE!

oddeye - 2014-05-12

Or that he wasn't the sharpest knife in the draw as either had yet to be invented.

duck&cover - 2014-05-12

The Kenny of science.

Oscar Wildcat - 2014-05-12

Faraday was Timmy to Davy's Mr. Wizard.

Also : I am the only one who thought the biopic was dull? No mention at all concerning the many stories we batted around the last time Faraday made an appearance here. Still, nice to see the old man up there with the popular big names.

Architeuthis Tux - 2014-05-12

I don't remember Mr. Wizard being a nitrous-huffing rage machine.

Clearly, I've got some catch-up to do.

Oscar Wildcat - 2014-05-12

Oh, I meant in the biopic. IRL we've all been nitrous huffing rage machines at some point, perhaps multiple points, in the manifold of our shared existence. Although with Faraday, it wasn't clear, as he was always a bit of a fundy drudge.

Architeuthis Tux - 2014-05-12

There was a Faraday biopic!?

People have been withholding important information from me! Mr. Wizard on nitrous-fueled binges, Michael Faraday biopics... Next you're going to tell me there was a dramatization of Keats reading Coaker's review of Endymion!

Scrimmjob - 2014-05-12

The Faraday Biopic was called Faraday's Law and it starred Charles Bronson

Oscar Wildcat - 2014-05-12

Well it's this fucking piece of shit is what it is, Arc. It was on the tube last nite on that reboot of Carl Sagan's show. I was pretty stoked too when I stumbled across it, but it was a snooze. I miss Carl's dope smoking fantasies and roman nose. He would have mentioned something about that big chamber Davies constructed for huffing, at the very least.

Architeuthis Tux - 2014-05-12

Ah. Sadness. Also, shitty animation. It looks like a special episode of South Park.

Oscar Wildcat - 2014-05-12

Faradays Law : A new series coming to NBC! Michael takes Humphry's advice and drops his scientific pursuits for a lucrative career as a trial lawyer. Tonight: Michael successfully sues the Royal Academy for theft of wages and intellectual property.

memedumpster - 2014-05-12

Starring Benedict Cumberbatch as the least memorable version of whatever character he is hired to play!

Cube - 2014-05-12

Never put salt in your eyes.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2014-05-12

Faraday was the Nicholas Cage of his time.

exy - 2014-05-12

This... is from the Cosmos reboot? It's the first I've seen of it and now I appear to hate the Cosmos reboot.

pastorofmuppets - 2014-05-13

I've been trying to enjoy it but most of the episodes have these cartoon bios and the dialogue is always at least this awful.

Everyone's heart is in the right place but they've dumbed things too far down.

(The "my eyes" thing is Humphry Davy, after he makes a joke about Bunsen losing an eye, and then his experiment blows up. It's just as silly than this edit, but it wasn't an edit.)
