The great thing about Betty White is that she had twenty years playing nice respectable white girls before she started turning that image in on itself with wicked humor in the 1970s on the Mary Tyler Moore Show.

The Millionaire is my earliest TV memory. I was two when it was canceled, but I swear I remember seeing that opening credit without being able to read it. Looking back at the episodes that are now available in YouTube, , some of the guest stars are pretty impressive.

That guy's voice is so familiar, I googled him. It's Paul Frees, the ubiquitous voice of the 50's and 60's.

He was the voice of Boris Badenov, the Pillsbury Doughboy, Morroco Mole (from Secret Squirrel), and countless narrations.
