Can cancer get cancer?

Most people that become cops do so for the right reasons and the vast majority end up as good cops. It's the ones that were petty children before they became cops and those that let the badge get to their head that spoil the reputation of the honest protectors of order.

In a just world cops wouldn't stonewall investigations into the conduct of friends and colleges, they would encourage and welcome them.

They should be TWICE as angry as we are about the badge being abused.

The vast majority end up as good cops that also cover for the blatant crimes of other cops? You know, in the real world, the not-cop world, that also makes you a criminal.

And while not an excuse, cops do tend to see the worst side of humanity. I'm not surprised they're not sunshine and rainbows, but going full Rorschach on anyone should be grounds for dismissal, if not committal to an institution.

Cops do not interact with a humanity that is different from the one we all interact in. Unless that cop has been in a war, they know fuck all more than anyone else in society. Their unique position of observation is a straight up myth.

This has merit, but it also eliminates the option of discretionary mercy.
A cop's supervisor would review footage of him letting some kids go with a warning and get his own warning for not enforcing the letter of the law.

This world will know no justice until law is enforced by computer. Humans have a crime instinct directly proportional to their sense of power. Judge Computer from the Jetsons is a depiction of a saner world.

That is so fucking sad, but I see no other way.
