According to this wax-candy-lipped freak's puerile "manifesto" the mere sight of couples or girls not paying attention to him was taken as a personal insult; even though he made no real attempts to interact with girls besides driving around in his BMW hoping he'd be noticed, or going to restaraunts and hoping a girl would talk to him - apparently he was so magnificent they were supposed to just walk up to him and ask to bask in his greatness. Who wouldn't want to be around some guy who just sits by himself and glowers at the world?

Plus acorrding to that , at one point the sight of a "jock" and his blonde companion drove him to such anger that he did a drive by on them, splashing them with an iced tea.

I know a kid going down that road; he's about 15, and always at the comic store where I host my weekly board game night. Literally every time I go there, regardless of the time of day, he's there, bragging about the latest thing his parents bought, how they don't make him go to school during the day, or what totally awesome meal he's going to get delivered to the store this time.

I occasionally feel a little bad for him, because it's clear his parents don't give a shit and just treat the store like a teenage daycare center, and nobody around the store really wants to have anything to do with him, but then he opens his mouth and that sympathy just washes away.

Were his videos enough for them to push their way into his home and search him? It's easy to say "of course" after the fact, but before?

Not before, no. For every spree killer who posts a credible threat to Youtube (I can think of two: this guy, and the "black women are evil" fellow), there are tens, maybe even hundreds of thousands more who are just regular old non-murderers letting off steam. The cops were contacted, and they did speak with him; they did as much as they could, or should, do. I mean, I'd rather live in a world where guys like this can skirt just under the radar and on exceedingly rare occasions shoot up Californian towns, then a world in which the homeless-shooting, black-guy-beating cops can kick in your door each and every time you shitpost or act a little eccentric online.

There's the case of the League of Legends player, Justin Carter, who said something in game about shooting up a school causing him to be arrested and held on 0k bond which an anonymous person paid to get him released. He still faces trial.

What I'm unsure of is whether or not police responded to his day of retribution video or was it the other ones? His retribution video was the only one where he stated his intentions and the others were self pity videos.
