Everything from the song to the feel of this show screams old people.

Bort - 2014-06-01

Especially this version of the intro, which features no black people.

Cena_mark - 2014-06-02

I don't know why, but I always loved the theme music.

Cena_mark - 2014-06-02

I think the bass really makes it awesome.
Bort, quite a feat considering this show took place in Atlanta.

infinite zest - 2014-06-02

Was it always meant for old people? I mean, the crimes I remember weren't exactly of the Maybury variety.. I suppose the elderly can identify with someone more their age than.. I dunno Don Johnson.. But besides capturing the zeitgeist of 80s Miami, MV wasn't necessarily meant strictly for youth.

The Mothership - 2014-06-01

1:00pm, every day during middle-school summer on KPTV 12, Portland (right after Perry Mason).

Not shown: Don Knotts.

also, why isn't there more Perry Mason on here?

cognitivedissonance - 2014-06-01

Dittz. You could actually watch the tapes of Perry Mason disintegrate into fuzzy dust over the course of a few years.

The Mothership - 2014-06-01

I know, man. we're so old. also, did we grow up in the same town?

cognitivedissonance - 2014-06-01

Born in Olympia, raised in Centralia.

Kptv channel 12. Home of rambling rod and Lars Larsen. I worked in that building for years when it became the hampton opera center and found a whole bunch of Mr Rod's buttons in the basement. Larsen judged my forensics team at state until he went Alex jones crazy.

Totally off topic but do you remember the jammin salmon?

(Breaking bad totally stole matlocks logo)

cognitivedissonance - 2014-06-01

Rambling Rod needs to be on POETV.

glasseye - 2014-06-01

Centralia? Shit, no wonder you've got cognitive dissonance.

cognitivedissonance - 2014-06-01

Yep.

Binro the Heretic - 2014-06-01

I watch this whenever I happen to catch it on.

No, I don't care who knows that.

infinite zest - 2014-06-01

The good lord lets us grow old for a reason: to gain the wisdom to find fault with everything he's made.

infinite zest - 2014-06-01

I'm also ignoring the fact that this is a dupe as the old one's tags were "Old People, grandpa simpson, Andy Griffith" (even though that's pretty accurate.

Aelric - 2014-06-02

I saw and submitted it anyway, because I wanted to remind people, and dupes are meaningless anyway. It's been 7 years since that one, too.

infinite zest - 2014-06-02

You know what would be cool? If an old video that obviously got voted out of the hopper could be moved back onto the front page with a click of a button. I already see the obvious problems with doing this, but I don't think there's too many trolls who would mess with it.. Just a thought.

Jet Bin Fever - 2014-06-01

That Andy Griffith is such a nice young man.

Riskbreaker - 2014-06-02

and, since nobody else has done it:

MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATLOOOOOOCK HIGHWAY!

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2014-06-02

God, those fucking 90s' TV show intros.
