Not that this isn't cool or impressive, but this just required taking animation cels, porting them to whatever program a high-end embroidery machine uses, and then "printing" each "cel" in thread.
Again, still cool.

Old_Zircon - 2014-06-11 I was thinking that, but then if you look at the actual stitching in some of the fills it's a bit uneven so I wonder if maybe they did at least some of it by hand (on high end sewing machines, but hand guiding the fabric) to get a more organic look. Doubtful but maybe. If anything, it's more likely that the embroidery machine they used had some kind of "humanize" feature that added a little jitter to the stitching.

Old_Zircon - 2014-06-11 Anyhow, in the comments one of the band members says that after the gallery where they're on display is done showing them, the individual frames will be sold off as patches.

I'll take the jacket with frame 03:32 printed on it.
|
Old_Zircon - 2014-06-11 They're selling them. There's a post in the comments where a guy from the band says that even though they aren't available yet you can contact him with a still of the frame you want and he will try to reserve it for you.

This shitty boring derivative song with crap lyrics does not deserve such an awesome video.
|
infinite zest - 2014-06-11 yeah.. that's why I put it here instead of 73Q.. they're like every-local-stoner-metal-band-in-your-town-ever. I don't have a problem with the genre (Holy Mountain is one of my favorite records ever) but they seriously all sound the same.

memedumpster - 2014-06-11 Until Indian pop starts writing songs constantly about outer space and outer space wizards, I'll stick with stoner metal. Seriously, Indian pop music needs to get on that.
|
infinite zest - 2014-06-12 For me it's kind of like the Birdy Nam Nam video. Amazing vid but for me at least the song's pretty "meh." It's actually been a while since any band I actually like has put out a cool video though.
