Can Norm Macdonald get her as a guest on his show?

chairsforcheap - 2014-06-12

holy shit yes.... kickstarter.

countvelcro - 2014-06-11

those eyes, staring into the abyss of gender privilege....

takewithfood - 2014-06-12

"Crazy eyes" is a tag, right?

Adham Nu'man - 2014-06-11

To be fair, this seems like it's target audience is people in the mental health, coaching, psychology realm, so it makes sense and is quite helpful.

That said, more and more people seem to feel that such attention to language should be employed in our daily interactions, whereas I feel human interaction should be more relaxed and not so akin to planning careful strategies in how to approach a game of "Pin the Tail on the Donkey" that actually uses a real live Donkey.

Adham Nu'man - 2014-06-11

Sorry, "its target audience".

Potrod - 2014-06-11

Among the more absurd bits of self-parody, she is suggesting that people avoid the word "sure" in favor of "yes." No matter what her intended audience is, that is decidedly not helpful. To say nothing of the bizarrely inconsistent circumcision logic pointed out by azmo below.

Adham Nu'man - 2014-06-11

Lol, I didn't make it that far.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-06-12

I'm all for letting people self-identify however they want, so long as common pronouns can be used without offense in casual interaction. If they have a specific label they'd like applied to them, they need to make sure everyone who they think is a part of their group agrees it's the settled-upon term before getting pissed off that someone else didn't use it.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2014-06-14

Hey, shlee knows what shlee is doing.

Hooker - 2014-06-11

I'm probably still going to call people dicks.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2014-06-14

My favorite phrase is the colloquial, but colorful "go eat a bag of dicks'. It just feels so right.

CIWB - 2014-06-11

I'm so glad that I don't ever have to waste any of my limited time on this earth thinking about whether I'm excluding anyone by using the word "both".

Azmo23 - 2014-06-11

1,2, and 3 were interesting. the rest idk
also, isn't calling an uncircumcised person "intact" just oppositely biased? (as it implies the circumcised male is fractional or damaged)

Spaceman Africa - 2014-06-11

Circumcised men are definitely damaged.

misterbuns - 2014-06-11

or 'scared' if you will.

...wait.

memedumpster - 2014-06-11

I'll just stick to "my goddamned species" for everything.

Before sex, my goddamned species should wash my goddamned species's hands.

Don't be my goddamned species.

I may have inadvertently hurt the feelings of my goddamned species by using the wrong general term.

That guy - 2014-06-11

No offense, but the only people who would think this way are usually my goddamn species.

zurf - 2014-06-11

Is this a parody of political correctness? I can't tell

dairyqueenlatifah - 2014-06-11

I was convinced it was parody until the end.

Poe's Law is in full effect.

Meerkat - 2014-06-11

If I tell my bud he's being a dick, he knows what I'm saying. If I tell him he's being condescending and imposing his conceptions of adequate masculinity on another individual who doesn't share his conceptions of masculinity he's already punching some guy.

spikestoyiu - 2014-06-11

I can't imagine how exhausting it is being offended by everything.

sosage - 2014-06-11

So much work just to avoid dealing with context.

Oscar Wildcat - 2014-06-11

This. I laud her desire for inclusiveness, but not at the cost of precision.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2014-06-11

I thought this was satire making fun of the SJW crowd until the end.

Jesus fucking first world problems having retarded Tumblr-loving Christ.

Spaceman Africa - 2014-06-11

It's kinda corny in some bits but not evil, c'mon step it up.

Azmo23 - 2014-06-11

agreed. there are far more fanatical examples of queer speech guidelines, if that's the evil someone was looking to illustrate with this post.

this seems like it would probably be helpful to a social worker, as adam nuhman points out above.

Pillager - 2014-06-11

It would extremely evil if you had to communicate like this at work.

Riskbreaker - 2014-06-11

Solid parody of social justice hacks....

It's a parody, right?

ashtar. - 2014-06-11

missoula. haha.
she seems nice.

Braze - 2014-06-12

Check your privilege checking privilege: inclusive language as underlying social aggression

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2014-06-14

I'm exhausted from watching this. And I haven't even tried to not offend anyone yet.
