how do you distinguish between primary language used (and thought in) and the cultural background?
even if I moved to Taiwan and raised a family, I would teach my theoretical kids English and they would inherit a great deal, if not most, of their worldview from me and my American wife.
then someone would say the language controlled their saving patterns, but it's an assumption to say the patterns are linguistically based and not cultural. then it's some circular logic that tries to convince you the proof is for real

something about this medium, motion/infographics, always makes me distrust their content, so maybe i'm being overly critical

One might be inclined to say that the communication medium ( in this case, the Motion/Infographic "language" ) is affecting your ability to think about the content being communicated.
