pffr is consistently brilliant

This was fun. I'd sort of written it off cos I thought it looked like it was trying too hard or whatever and I wasn't super crazy about Wondershowzen.

infinite zest - 2014-06-30

Huh. Didn't know they were related. Wonder showzen was about as fun as tv funhouse IMO. It's fun to see kids do and say adult things but kinda wares thin after a while. Xavier is just plain awesome. Like this weird mix of Shenmue and a bad acid trip.

infinite zest - 2014-06-30

I really can't understand Cartoon Network and adult swim sometimes. If a show gets low ratings that's one thing, but maybe that's because your lineup is like 2 Family Guys and 2 Cleveland shows from ages ago and shove Xavier on after most of your demographic has to sleep because they probably have a barista job or something.

This show practically dares people to like it and the notion that it belongs anywhere but a graveyard timeslot is absurd. I'm shocked that it got two seasons.

infinite zest - 2014-06-30

yeah I mean it's not for everyone.. I'm not a big fan of Venture Brothers or most of the live action AS shows, but giving them exposure instead of 3 shows you can also catch on TBS, TNT and your local Fox affiliate three or four times a day seems a little redundant. Plus all the shows are buried in a shitty website that requires you give your cable provider (in my case, none.)

(Twin Peaks got a good timeslot)

The advertising for Family Guy and Cleveland Show pay for these little exercises in weirdness. It's like how Tim Burton has to make Planet of the Apes and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to make one of his stop motion things with Henry Selick.

infinite zest - 2014-07-01

Yeah, that makes sense, but I remember when I had cable (I guess it was the Midwest so everything was on an hour earlier) they'd have an 11 minute popular show like ATHF or TGTTM on at 10 and then shove one of their weirder acquisitions on immediately after.

Speaking of Planet of the Apes, arg! Combine two of my favorite things and make it horrible. It was actually the only movie I bought tickets to in advance (for a 5 pm showing and nobody was there of course..) still optimistic for the upcoming one.

Infinite doors through south america.

I have avoided this show mainly because I just don't smoke weed anymore, but this was great.

Crab Mentality - 2014-07-01

I don't care what anyone says, I will praise this show as art to the end.

Crab Mentality - 2014-07-01

Oh, and this.
