BETTER THAN CD QUALITY

I wonder why that mosaic effect was in pretty much every video processor from the era (including the SNES). I always assumed that someone somewhere had incorrectly interpreted a simple scaler and decided to turn it into an effect.

I still think it's a cool effect and kind of wish it'd randomly pop up in movies.

I like the "video echo" effect this demo has, my old camcorder doesn't do that.

and yeah it's a fun effect. FEZ uses it really well in the few places it uses it.
