God, sometimes I miss it!

I was born on the west coast but went to college in Wisconsin. All my preconceived notions of "cold" were disproved by mid-November. Wisconsin is a lot warmer than Minnesota.

Honestly if it wasn't for the weather I would've stayed: my entire time in the Midwest I met maybe 2 people with an accent like this, not that there's anything wrong with it, but it's kinda like assuming all Canadians sound like the brothers from Slap Shot.

The "wait 5 minutes" line I've never heard w/r/t the Midwest (it's typical saying in the northwest where in the time it's taken me to write this on my phone, it was sunny, then thunderstorms and now it's sunny again:) the winters are usually cold as fuck but either snowy or extremely sunny, and I've only experienced a few of those cloud bursts that rival anything out here.

Then again, it's a weird feeling to actually see a tornado probably a couple of miles away and your friends are like "forget about it.."

And in MN, the less enlightened call our rivals the Green Bay FudgePackers.

Thanks for resubmitting that one, Scrimm --- between watching this video and that one, I can't think of any other preparation one would need before moving to MN.

I might have to try making Hot Dish™. Recently got me one of those Ninja 3-in-1 cookers and it rocks the living hell out of my kitchen, and it's greatly expanding my cooking range. Hot Dish™ seems like a natural for the Ninja.
