It never occurred to me that these characters would be the size of actual ponies, since when Bronies photoshop themselves with their pony girlfriends they usually make them the size of a nine-year-old girl.

Bronies have used such reference points as the size of an apple and an "eight foot candy cane" shown in an actual episode to calculate that most ponies in the show are 3' 6" to 4' tall. The pony suits, on the other hand, have to be occupied by actual adult humans.

What Crunchy Frog said. The only way to get live-action ponies to be s how-accurate size would be to stuff nine year-old girls into the costumes, and I don't about you, but I think that'd be a little creepier than the way they do it now.

I guess I should be happy that it's actual kids watching a kids show, but I just realized it only means we're going to have to do this again in 30 years. Probably even worse as we watch 1st gen bronies come together with the 2nd gen nostalgia-bronies to trade diabetes medication and fedoras.
