It's nice to see Cannibal Corpse is still getting work, and Tech N9ne might be interesting? I wouldn't mind seeing hed(pe) either, but musicwise everything else looks pretty meh. Hopefully there will be enough carjackings, murders, and tripping lettes with daddy issues to make up the difference.

Ha! That's great! No, this is the first I've heard of The Clues. Honestly don't really know anything about hed(pe)'s "behind the scenes" activities, and that sounds like really obscure information; it's barely even mentioned on their Wikipedia page.

It does makes sense, now that I think about it. They were one of the few "musical" numetal acts around the turn of the millennium, and having an 80s funk metal/ new-wave pedigree would explain why they didn't suck.

Fuck him, though! That video clip is great! I can never understand why these "tough guy" entertainers get so mad when you bring up their less-than-badass pasts; Phil Anselmo does it, Vanilla Ice does it, Marky Mark does it. If he would've performed the show without responding to him than you and I right now would have no idea about his humiliating past! Maybe Vanilla has eased up a bit, but I remember back when he first attempt to reinvent his image, he was trying WAAAAY too hard. Did you ever see that MTV special where they wound up throwing him out of the studio because he was smashing his old videotapes? Also, I've heard him do Ice Ice Baby before, but it's always been an "edgy" numetal version. I wanna see him just drop the tough guy act, throw on a sweater, and start prancing around like a goober again.

And yeah, the hed(pe) thing seems to have backfired big time. If he'd just ignored the heckler, nobody would have noticed or cared. But checking around the internet today, it looks like The Clues is becoming a viral meme.

Case in point: check out the Costume Contest I submitted. It took place like one day after the hed(pe) show; the guy who won? Cosplaying as The Clues. Had the leotard, the song, even fake punched a guy in the crowd; the juggalos were eating it up!

There are actually cops inside the the Gathering this year, which hasn't happened in years. So far no arrests, as far as I know. I'm not there but I get regular updates online. Violent J's brother has assured everyone that the cops are just there to keep people safe, not to mess with people. We'll see.
