I got in a big discussion with a friend of mine about this the other day and it really goes even further than just doing stupid shit because of bad reviews. Indie devs now have, hands down, the worst reputation for supporting their own fucking product. Steam is just becoming this wasteland of indie titles that either never get a true post-alpha release (the game is eternally in Early Access, but hey give us your money!), get released but have serious problems that the devs never fix (get a better computer/we have no more moneys to actually bugfix, hurrr), or just flat out false advertising (IT TOTALLY SUPPORTS ALL THESE THINGS...oh, sorry we meant maybe someday it will support those things).
Corporations are automatically the devil, but funny thing is half the time they at least fix their fucking games or update them properly or whatever and deliver what the fuck they promise. There are exceptions, obviously, but I've gotten to where I'm sick of indie shit.

Caminante Nocturno - 2014-08-05 I played through the entirety of Skyrim as a little anime fox girl, and it was one of the most spiritually fulfilling experiences of my life.

If anyone says how indie debs are all sunshine and rainbows I tell them to look up Derek Smart, and hopefully they'll find articles about him that haven't been taken down under threat of lawsuit.

Almost every indie dev I've listened to speak off the record is a huge douchebag with a massive sense of unwarranted self importance, so none of this is surprising.

Eric Cartman is great and I will be watching more of his videos.

I'm taking notes for the support of the free "indie game" I just released. I'll upload a video tutorial shortly after I find a good, free screen-capture program.
