Alright, fine, I'll start watching Gravity Falls. Is it on Netflix?

You should be watching Gravity Falls. It is the BEST cartoon on television. Even better than MLP:FIM!

I've only watched it a couple of times, mostly because of snippets on this very site. It reminds me of The Oregon Vortex, a place I loved as a kid. I'm pretty sure it's based off Gold Hills Oregon and the Mystery House. Which is awesome! So this show reminds me of being a kid; like LSD trip it was a great place to go but I wouldn't want to live there but there were always these teens working there who had this serene look about them: like going to Ikea or this one place in the Wisconsin Dells that's actually a cult. And these kids have to live and work there, like the grumpy version of other kids I saw there who said it was boring and wanted to go back to the city. Fucking crybabies if you ask me.. In the one I saw the grandpa bets the kids that they can't run the store better than he can, even though the kid actually has a real monster that he must have caught caged up instead of all the tourist shit that probably made me dad laugh when I . So he leaves the kids in charge and goes to a casino. Because he's a betting man.

That's probably a horrible rambling synopsis but it's a wonderful show.

Also horrible grammar. Sorry, I'm on my lunchbreak taking the time to say how much this show rules from my phone.

Its not on Netflix, which is weird because all of Disney Channel's other shows end up there.

But whatever, go find a torrent or something. The second season just started and it's kicking ass (and doing an amazing job of quickly and efficiently doing away with the very few problems the first season had.)

I was expecting not to like it, because of the Disney Channel thing: maybe I'm out of the loop, but isn't most of their programming something that resembles an Alison Gold video?

Most Disney Channel does suck. Gravity Falls is pretty much the only exception.
The first season seemed ran from June 2012 to August 2013. So it has been on for over two years now.
