Why do I get the feeling the real story involves this person being loud, obnoxious, talkative, rude, arrogant, entitled and disruptive in class? Why are people on YouTube so hilariously stupid?

|
Quad9Damage - 2014-08-28 Everything is about Muslims, Jews, Atheism and commie conspiracies. Meanwhile I can look at this child's stupid face and see right through the lie about the atrocious obomination that daddy's brave little soldier woman had to face.

I love the fact that no right wing sites are reporting the fact that she got suspended for punching another student in the face in class.
Misinformation. You know I love it.
|
|
John Holmes Motherfucker - 2014-08-28 The school is refusing to comment because, they claim (and quite rightly so) that they want to protect the student. Seriously, if she got into trouble for punching a kid in the the head (on another occasion, you're saying?) there's no reason why that should become national news, but meanwhile her church is holding a press conference? Whatever the situation here, I think it's being exploited by some opportunistic pricks who don't care about the young woman.
|
John Holmes Motherfucker - 2014-08-28 I think what he's saying is that she's been suspended before. I'm seeing stuff like that in other comments, but no one has linked yet.

|
EvilHomer - 2014-08-29 Do you have a source on that, RoUS? I'm looking around, but I can't find anything about the student throwing punches.

They got this from Last Ounce of Courage.

The most evil things about this story: some person identified the "nasty black old teacher" putting her address in the comments, suggesting that someone pay her a visit at night... Are you fucking kidding me?

Binro the Heretic - 2014-08-28
"Now, we will not have Godly speaking in my class."
Nobody talks that way.
If you're going to lie, kid, at least make it somewhat believable.
|
Cena_mark - 2014-08-28 These liars can be shown just for the terrible dialogue that takes place in their lies. Its like when Zimmerman claimed Trayvon said, "You're going to die honky!"

Cena_mark - 2014-08-29 And just like the real Cena I don't mind being a object of wrath. Be it from Brock Lesnar or the IWC, I can take the heat.

Okay, how many atheists and agnostics say "bless you" when someone sneezes in an entirely secular way? I mean, somehow it just makes it less awkward. I also say it when someone farts.
It seems strange to call it "a simple expression of her faith"? I mean, what?
|
dairyqueenlatifah - 2014-08-29 I don't know a single American, be them Muslim, Christian, Atheist, or Jew, who doesn't say "bless you" when someone sneezes.
This kid got "in school suspension", which is what people called "detention" back in the day. She got this for the remainder of the class period, not the whole day. It's not like she got kicked out of school. From all the reports I've read it was because she was disrupting the class, she disrupted the class and was yelling across the room to other students. Whether she said "bless you" or not in that time seems pretty irrelevant, and claiming saying "bless you" is an expression of the Christian faith is a laughable claim.
tl;dr: Kid is disruptive class clown, gets punished for it, makes up dubious claim that she's being oppressed, parents get mad and see an opportunity for media attention to get back at the school; Christians who are mad that they can't force public schools to force Muslim and Atheist kids to say Christian prayers flock in support to a bullshit story that supports their mental narrative of victimhood.
Just another day in 'murrika.

oddeye - 2014-08-29 I don't say bless you, occasionally "excuse you" but then I'm not American, wonder if it's a cultural thing?

Haha, the degree of bullshit in this story is astounding!

oddeye - 2014-08-28
God asked her to do it cause he's not allowed in school to bless people personally. Sorry God, supreme being and creator of the universe, you are BANNED from this classroom, mister!

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2014-08-29
The school is saying nothing, citing the welfare of the student. The church is holding press conferences. Since the story seems ridiculous, I have to assume that the school has the facts solidly on its side, and doesn't feel the need to trash this poor misguided kid in some ugly public relations war. There's a whole classroom full of witnesses, and by now they surely know how this is going to turn out.

This video's been removed by the user but never mind, reflecting on its message has convinced me to renounce atheism and make a little room for Jesus in my shriveled, blackened heart.

So, an update: right after this happened some gang of idiots called the Liberty Institute from Texas pledged to sue the school if a formal apology was not given in 7 days. The story has disappeared from the headlines, no formal apology given, and...that's pretty much it.
The Liberty Institute's Facebook page appears to have been inundated by a large number of people from Dyer County TN, virtually all of which are "a God-fearing Christian, but..." ...appear to side solidly with the school and teacher.
Apparently the girl had a history of this kind of behavior, to the point where she transferred schools.
