Captain Steubing and Barney Miller went over to the god-botherers?

Star power!

jreid - 2014-09-10

This actually looks unintentionally entertaining.

"The past, you ask? Well, I've tried that, and there's nothing of any interest or importance to see, so that settles it. Let's move along".

countvelcro - 2014-09-10

" A Rich Christiano film.". Most transparent pseudonym ever.

Oscar Wildcat - 2014-09-10

I suspect the invisible hand of Supply Side Jesus was at work here.

Great moments in Hotdog Thievery

Mother_Puncher - 2014-09-10

So it's just a movie about how old people react to change.

sosage - 2014-09-10

For about the first two minutes I kept anticipating the "comedy record scratch" cut.

infinite zest - 2014-09-10

I could be wrong, but I think this was before the ubiquitous scratch of the record, the beat drop, the things in every trailer ever..

Xenocide - 2014-09-10

It was a wise choice to use up half the trailer's runtime before he actually time travels. Nothing keeps an audience's attention like elderly professors having a polite disagreement about book sponsership.

dr_mr_vandertramps - 2014-09-10

MacLeod got the time machine idea from Riehle's ill-fated "I call it a 'Jump to the Future' mat" conversation.

This was on POE-Red, if i recall correctly!

cognitivedissonance - 2014-09-10

Isn't meddling in the affairs of time and space IN THE HAND OF GOD ALONE?!

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-09-10

If you're a Christian (or any other committed fantasy-world dweller) you can easily wave away any questions about your actions because, as an adherent of [INSERT DEITY HERE], anything you do is OBVIOUSLY the will of said being.

Gmork - 2014-09-10

Whatever. I'm traveling to the future every second of my life.

Xenocide - 2014-09-10

STARRING

OLD WHITEY

OLD WHITEY

OLD WHITEY

AND PAUL RODRIGUEZ AS THE WACKY ETHNIC ONE.

I love this and want to see the entire thing. They want to show us how horrible and decadent our sinful present is, but they can't actually show any horrible decadence in a Christian movie. So instead the most horrific thing about the atheist future distopia is that a little girl apparently just invented stealing.

Centennial Ostrich - 2014-09-11

A good buddy of mine rented this at Blockbuster during the mid 2000's. We got drunk and watched it in the middle of the night. It's mostly pretty boring. We thought the best part is when the time traveler, while in the future, visits a movie theater. He walks out in disgust after hearing "The Lord's name taken in vain" - but wasn't phased whatsoever by seeing a talking, moving, color picture drama on a huge screen. The ending is pretty good, too. He's back in the past and trying to see how far his machine can send someone into the future. He tries several far-off dates an keeps reducing them, implying that Judgment Day is coming soon...
