That seems to be the general argument on the original's page. Well, that and Russia/Ukraine relationships (didn't see that one coming.) I've known people who have dyed their dogs, like a pink poodle or something, using Kool Aid mix, or some variation. I'd never do it myself, to a cat or a dog or any animal, but I think the sugar washes out pretty quickly leaving the coloring behind.

When I lived with a bunch of drunk guys in college, we'd capture squirrels and then dye them different colors with kool-aid (just the mix without sugar). It didn't seem to hurt them, and it beautified the neighborhood wildlife.
