Gaiman is one of those people who does what he does well, but his repertoire is largely a three-note songbook:
Note 1: Supernatural shit is all because of the dreams of mankind.
Note 2: Let's retell a classic myth or fairy-tale with a few bells and whistles glued on.
Note 3: People who read or have imagination are being oppressed by family, work, and school because that's the burden of special gothic snowflakes.
He used to have a lot more breadth to his work, I think, but after The Sandman, I rarely see anything new in his writing. Again, it's not bad, it's just starting to feel like it's assembled from a standard kit instead of being a fresh voice in fiction.

His wife ran one of the worst kickstarter's I've seen. Already rich person using KS to fund her awful musical performance tour. She wasted tons of money on marketing and graphic designers, then expected the MUSICIANS to all work for free.

I watched the Neverwhere miniseries and now I can't say "door" without a bunch of extra u's in it.
To me, his body of work is all his interviews, wherein he tells the story of the nicest person on earth who gives interviews.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-09-25 I imagined White Wolf studios having a few offices with Mark Reign-dot-Hagen and people who came to work in the standard leather and black eyeliner on one side of the suite with everyone who wept tears of blood onto their keyboards on the other side, trying to make the RPG make sense and not seem like a load of pretentious twaddle.
And I say this as someone who liked the original Vampire game and 6 or so clans, and wish they'd stopped there.
The last time I saw White Wolf spend money at a con was at Gen Con a few years back, where they paid for a large booth space and put some kind of red-and-black velvet boudoir together with couches and faux victorian furniture inside and just sat around talking to people. I don't think they even had any product for sale.

The people who rose through the ranks to development are pretty normal, but the freelancers and fan organizers are the most fucked up bunch of creeps imaginable. Two of them, whose names shall remain nameless, are probably the most racist shits I've ever met.
