She's ex military, right wing, and poorly educated ie. "self made". At the last election she appeared out of nowhere and jumped on the populist bandwagon of mining magnate Clive Palmmer's United Party.

Now she's pissing even Clive off and is likely to either leave the party or be expelled by Palmer, leaving her to sit in parliament as an Independent until her inevitable loss in 5 years when her Senate seat comes up for re-election.

Before then she can do plenty of damage, but as not much damage as our far right-wing government's current hysterical anti-terrorist crusade, backed by Rupert Murdoch's news outlets to the hilt, and alienating moderate Moslems big time.
