I lived with a black cat that killed about 100-150 rodents in a year. I have not so fond memories of coming into my studio where he had dropped a dead rat near my desk unbeknownst to me, I turn around and he's eating its skull, crunch crunch crunch. Then he goes to the bathroom and vomits up a bunch of writhing white worms. He just left it there, headless and bleeding on my carpet. I am willing to bet that the black cat was the one that killed the rat.
