I'd forgotten how much influence "The Road Warrior" had on late 1980s/early 1990s post-apocalyptic movies.
Back then, we never even considered the idea of an Earth overrun by jungles or grasslands. Everything was going to be deserts.

oddeye - 2014-09-30 Although plenty of "future sucks" movie are set in city ruins or sterile dome, I think Waterworld was the first post-apoc movie I'd seen not set in a desert.
