Just to clarify, number one was in jest, in case you are, in fact, a black person.

I used to joke to ladies at the Opera who left their tickets in their "Opera purses," and had their husbands parking the car and such, telling them that officially they were committing the crime of Vagrancy without their identification, despite a dress that probably cost half of my year's salary. "Just wait for hubby, you've got plenty of time." That was funny, this was not. I understand the basic necessity, no matter what it is: boarding a plane, getting pulled over, buying a pack of beer, whatever. Wrong place, wrong time, it's good to have that information. But this behavior, I don't even know where to begin.

I won't spoil it, and am a little surprised that someone didn't submit it yet, but watch Last Week Tonight this week. I won't spoil it, but this is seriously fucked up.

No one can watch that and retain the desire to exist in the borders of this country long enough to submit it, IZ. That is the least funny thing possible.

@ Binro : Yes, the police can in fact do just as you say. See Terry v. Ohio or more recently Hiibel v. Sixth Judicial District Court of Nevada.

The sad thing about this tape is that the police will successfully use it to show that their officers obeyed all regs and rules of engagement, and they will prevail because that is in fact what the tape shows.

My dentist forcibly held me down (along with a nurse) to keep drilling after the novocaine wore off and I was screaming in pain and fear and trying to get away from the drill, when I was...eight? Nine?

My wisdom teeth have needed to come out for years, and I've been in agonizing pain for almost a year now, with one of my non-wisdom molars having cracked open and left a gaping hole exposed on the interior side.

I don't see myself making an appointment any time soon.

Imagine how that kid will react if he ever gets robbed or assaulted.
