I really don't get what's up with Alex Jones and ebola lately. It's been pretty much the only thing on his mind for months; his favorite talking point is how ebola will enter the United States through our "open borders" (whatever the hell that means) and the only way to stop it is to give the TSA sweeping police state powers and impose martial law... a solution that, to me, sounds a LITTLE inconsistent with his usual anti-authoritarian, anti-globalist persona. He's also been having conniption fits over the mainstream media, not because they're fear-mongering (they are), but because they're *not fear-mongering enough*; again, a rhetorical shift that seems completely at odds with his usually spot-on deconstruction of corporate media agitprop surrounding issues like ISIS and Russia. I have no idea if he's doing this to appeal to his socially conservative base (he's been pretty harsh on immigration in the past), or if he wants to stoke the fires of ebola panic in order to sell more holistic/organic health supplements. Maybe he's just bored?
