I've never doubted that T-Pain is good.

This is what people don't get about auto-tune; If you sound like you're being raped by a cat dick fixing the pitch of your voice isn't going to help that.

Actually, T-Pain is just a hairs' breadth above mediocre: not bad. I did choir all through high school and I was about as good as he is now; bit of range and I had good tone, but not crisp enough to really transition well and project. And we both sing from the nose, not the chest.

But it's really the Bob James Taxi Theme sounds from Toro that make this so magical.

I really love these NPR guys, stripping away all the unnecessary crap from music and leaving the part that's good. The Robert Glasper one was also great.

Imagine how much T-Pain's done this, just to learn he'll never be appreciated unless he comes up with a stupid gimmick. Fucking music business. I love the music, hate the business.
