I'm so disappointed that the NASA guys were surprised...they have the worlds biggest vacuum chamber and never tried this in 50 years.

(also; this all needs to be shut down and privatized because tax cuts)

I'm more disappointed that they'd be surprised at all by such a basic physics demo.

I choose to believe they're just being affected by the perpetual fascination radiating off of Brian Cox.

yogarfield - 2014-11-04

I'm more disappointed that Philomena Cunk isn't filming this spot.

Adham Nu'man - 2014-11-03

Ok someone with some physics background please explain to me what he meant by Einstein's statement at the end that the objects are not being pulled by some force.

Please stay away from big words and feel free to use drawings and/or pantomime.

mouser - 2014-11-03

No force is pulling on the objects because nothing is reaching out to the objects to tract them in; unlike magnetic or nuclear forces radiates outward.

The mere proximity of another mass is what moves both object towards each other. Yes: the earth was too falling toward the feathers. Not just in any measurable means at out scale.

Exactly how gravity works is a whole lot of BS: boson science.

mouser - 2014-11-03

Also I can't write today but you can guess the grammar.

Cube - 2014-11-03

Well my background is mostly IT, audio and pulling on my penis, but I think Einstein thought it was more about mass bending space than pulling.

Adham Nu'man - 2014-11-03

Woah woah woah GUYS! Watch it with those big words, you think I'm a crazy boffin or something?

SolRo - 2014-11-03

Physics, bitch!

Cube - 2014-11-03

You should know "penis" by now.

Vacuum Chamber staring Brian Cox was one of my favorites.

infinite zest - 2014-11-03

Oh. Not the Brian Cox I was thinking of. In a way I was hoping this was in some way connected to a new X-Men movie.

oddeye - 2014-11-03

I said the exact same thing, like I was hoping they were going to remake some of the Hannibal movies with Brian Cox back in them.

infinite zest - 2014-11-03

He'll always be my Hannibal Lecktor, and that's the way I'll always spell it too.

takewithfood - 2014-11-03

Cool, I always wondered where they filmed all that faked moon landing footage.

Jet Bin Fever - 2014-11-04

haha!
