infinite zest - 2014-11-16 Not necessarily for people with a good sense of humor. Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm share a lot of the same jokes but I doubt if Seinfeld would've lasted on a mainstream network without the laughter. And a show like Cheers would've been downright depressing, but the "live studio audience" made Cliff's soul-crushing existence somehow funny.

Man, they could power a city for a year with this cartoon, if only they could somehow harness how little Filmation gave a shit.

The sad thing is this was only a tiny portion of a much larger, more awful show featuring newspaper comic characters.
If I recall correctly, it was called "The Fabulous Funnies" and it also had shitty versions of Alley Oop, the Katzenjammer Kids, Broom Hilda and Heckle & Jeckle. To this day, I honestly think it was designed to make kids stop watching cartoons and go play outside.

infinite zest - 2014-11-16 Oh god. There's Blondie, Andy Capp, you name it you probably put Silly Putty over it.

That is so not how I ever imagined Sluggo's or Nancy's voices sounding.

Scrimmjob - 2014-11-17 I always thought Sluggo should sound closer to Robert Loggia, or someone like that.
