The two leads didn't seem to get along.

probably why they didn't make anymore!

Oh, this is an actual thing that's on television somewhere now?

I saw the title and honestly thought it was referring to that crappy Hanna-Barbera cartoon from the 1970s. (Well, okay, I concede that "that crappy Hanna-Barbera cartoon from the 1970s" can refer to much of their output from that decade, but I mean specifically the "Laurel & Hardy" one, which, trivia fact, FOR BETTER OR FOR WORSE's Lynn Johnston worked as a low-level cel painter on.)

Sorry, I looked it up, it's from 1999, which was, checks watch, 15 years ago.

Must have slipped completely under my radar.

"The New Adventures" implies there were more proposed. They actually thought this would be a franchise.

Like the 3 Stooges, the Little Rascals, the Lone Ranger, etc.

There are some things that are just products of their time and really can't be effectively remade for a modern age without it being ironic or so retooled you might as well call it something other than the name of the original IP.

That reminds me. I seem to recall that Dreamworks bought the rights to Felix the Cat. Since they're going under, I wonder if anyone else will be stupid enough to try reviving ol' Felix?

Ugh. The New Adventures of Felix. Felix's bag of tricks gets searched by the TSA or something. Sometimes dumb sounding revivals work though like Teen Titans Go. But I don't hold out much hope for that poor cat.
