RIP Oolong.

Yeah.. he lived a long life though, and had more adventures than most rabbits I know, who rarely leave the house, or in some cases, their hutch. I felt the same way when my Guinea Pig died at 8 years old though. I tried for a minute to do the balancing thing, because he'd always do it, but as soon as I brought the camera he'd start popcorning around. But he's the only Guinea Pig I know who has lived on both coasts and parts in-between, and could go without a leash at a park or something.

Sadly, since infoseek went down it looks like the photos are no more, at least on his site, but an image search still brings up a bunch of them. I just liked looking at them in chronological order. :(

maru the amorphus blob

Maru's housemate looks to be well on its way to blobdom as well.

Personally I'm all about Hana, though Maru makes me chuckle.

Personal experience says that cats like Hana are the best make and model: intelligent, patient, and always surprising you with stunts like communing with dolphins. (No dolphins where I live, though, so instead mine would "hunt" loaves of bread for me and leave them on my pillow. Best cat ever.)

Maru makes me think of bonsai kittens.

Interesting to see what can be done with these new boneless cats.

That's not balancing, the skewer goes all the way in.

Poor lobotomized Maru.

I have the Maru book, and I love it.
