You will not get me to listen to Modest Mouse, but you can get me to watch a fox dog on a train.

The Moon and Antarctica got me through a particularly rough time in my life (about 15 years ago!?!), but I haven't really paid attention since they got big. A friend of mine broke up with his girlfriend and therefore had an extra ticket to see them at the House of Blues in Chicago around 2003, and god they fucking sucked. Like, not just the new songs, they genuinely sucked. So I stopped paying attention. Then they moved to Portland and recruited Johnny Marr.. ugh. But I dunno.. I kinda like this song. Reminds me of old times. Plus a coyote on a light rail.

In case you were curious, this actually happened.

IZ: Neat! Possibly more than just a reference to animals adapting to public transportation amidst a song about loneliness/isolation.

Haven't followed Modest Mouse since Good News for People Who Love Bad News. Three songs from that album helped me out some times. Not really familiar with their other stuff.

I dated a girl who dated Isaac Brock.
He liked to be urinated on and he did more cocaine than God.

Yeah, The Moon and Antarctica is fucking great.

Baleen weird! I'm seeing a girl who dated Isaac at one point too. She also dated the frontman from another pitchfork-approved band (better not say which one) who had a thing for vegetables, cucumbers mostly, if you get what I'm saying..

I also dated a girl who lived next door to their house. I'd go outside and smoke a cigarette and Isaac was always outside, but we didn't say anything. The house is pretty much in a public park which turns into, for lack of a better analogy, Burning Man Jr. in the summer months. A friend of mine really had to pee and she went right in Modest Mouse's vegetable garden. She still feels bad about it but I'll let her know that Isaac probably appreciated the flavor.

This isn't too anything for 73q

Shoebox Joe - 2015-01-24

Kind of agree. The only thing really giving this a leg up is the reference.

Jet Bin Fever - 2015-01-25

Yeah, poor 73q. So permanently broken and ignored.

Spaceman Africa - 2015-01-25

I don't know they could get more vapid since the last song they released
