It's nice that society has become so skewed towards re-enriching the already rich that the axiom of "a fool and his money are soon parted" no longer applies.
wait. no. I hate that.

EvilHomer - 2015-01-25 He spends more on a single Patek Phillipe than this lady does on all her stupid daughter's birthday parties.

It looks like the kids had fun at least.
I think that they over inflated the costs though. 0 for an artist? 00 for a roller rink? I guess that it the artist was there for seven hours, and the rink was bought instead of rented.

RocketBlender - 2015-01-25 That's actually about right. You'd be amazed at how much event rentals can be. A few light riggings and some colored cels for them can run a wedding or party thousands.

This reminds me of when I worked at a country club, and parents were constantly trying to out-spend one another to throw their kid the best party.
One that really sticks in my head was one for a 7 year old that had an under the sea theme. The whole place was draped in aqua linens, they rented a huge bubble machine ( I don't know how much that was, but whatever it was, we added a grand for all the carpet cleaning we were going to need to do.)
They had a full oyster bar, seafood buffet including pasta with clam sauce, tortilla crusted tilapia, smoked salmon display, you guys get the idea. Everything a parent would want.
The whole club staff ate like kings at the employee lunch buffet the next day, because it turns out oyster bars aren't such a hit with kids turning 7.

infinite zest - 2015-01-25 Haha.. why would you want to eat Finding Nemo? All I can think of is this:

My wedding was like that. Since we got married in a courthouse and waited a few years to tell our parents I thought they deserved the kind of wedding that they wanted, so my ideas of a wedding cake made out of sushi and Blue Oyster Cult (yes, that Blue Oyster Cult.. long story but I know someone who knows them and they'll play any event for 1,000 bucks if you mention his name) were out. But they knew I was a vegetarian and I told them that a few of the bridesmaids were too.. EVERYTHING had meat in it. The "vegetarian" option was water chestnuts.. wrapped in bacon! We still had fun because it was open bar all night, but we didn't eat a thing. Just got drunk and went to Taco Johns for Potato Oles and passed out.

Is there anything on The "Learning" Channel these days that isn't bottom of the barrel reality tv?

I wish that the kid in the Siouxsie and the Banshees shirt was really into the band.
