Weirdly... I just made dinner tonight at home for a bunch of people and one of them was a Seattle cop who knows this woman. He was pretty political about it when this came up but suggested she was maybe not up for the job.

It looks super shitty on just all fronts. There's only a small amount of context in the video, but everyone is very clearly moving away from her. There doesn't appear to be anything even remotely resembling a threat. And I don't think there's much we're not seeing here that could possibly excuse or explain this behavior, but I would never feel 100% confident coming to a conclusion based on fifteen seconds of video. But again, everything about it appears to be mad shitty and stupid.

The subject is still embarrassing. I don't even think cops give a shit about being called "pig" any more. It's like calling a white person a "cracker". I think you just end up looking like a bratty teenager and nobody is even really insulted so what's the point?

They have a rather good track record in a relative sense. But being 'good' compared to the rest of the country may not stand for much.
