why are these people so fucking cheery? Did they all get something before this? The funeral happened and then they just go, "yeah!! OLD PEOPLE DIE AND THAT'S AWESOME!!!!" Are they DISNEY ROBOTS!!?!!

Adham Nu'man - 2015-02-07

It is odd isn't it?

Gmork - 2015-02-07

The entire scene leading up to the death was sweet but sad. It fast-forwarded their happy lives together until the point where she finally passed away.

Just see the damn thing. The first part is brilliant, the middle and ending is classic cliche'd disney but not that horrible.

It's getting harder and harder to distinguish these from the real thing. Soon, the Voight-Kampff will be completely useless.

I haven't seen "Up" myself but it looks like it's kinda the Disney version of Doggie Poo.

There's a lot of inconsistencies and the science is terrible.

It's actually not too bad, but as Gmork has said, the film peaks near the beginning and then progresses steadily downhill. Of course, being a heartless bastard myself, I laughed during the opening, but most people seem to be genuinely touched by it.

It's a cute film, but I didn't see it until fairly recently. If you cried when Bambi or Old Yeller died (spoilers sorry) then it hits that same heartstring, which it seems like a lot of Disney movies were missing (especially Pixar films) until Wall-E. But the rest of the movie's just kinda fun. Personally I liked Frozen a lot more.

Why are these people getting ready to jerk off to Up? Gross.
