5 stars just for the uncanny Sam Donaldson makeup.

EvilHomer - 2015-02-19

I don't get it.

EvilHomer - 2015-02-19

I hate you, JHMF.

yogarfield - 2015-02-20

Do you really?

EvilHomer - 2015-02-20

It's a reference to his favorite tag. Which he should include here, because I hate him.

namtar - 2015-02-19

Only funny MadTv bit?!? Come on, what about........

Ms. Swan? No, that was shit.

What about Stewart? No, that was shit too.

infinite zest - 2015-02-19

I remember some pretty funny stuff from this show, but then again I was 15 years old. This will always be my favorite though:

Glad they have their own show.

infinite zest - 2015-02-19

er.. 13 years old when it came out. Did that show really last until 2009?

They did a stop-motion Apocalypse Now parody that Patton Oswalt wrote before he got fired.

Scrimmjob - 2015-02-19

The stop motion bits were usually funny, At the time I thought the Will Sasso doing Kenny Rogers was pretty funny. Aries Spears was funny sometimes too.

That guy - 2015-02-20

What about Michael McLoud and Jasmine Wayne-Wayne singing:

You Are The Love of My Life
You Are The One That I Love (theme from Sad Boat)
I Love To Live In Your Love
I Love The Life That You Live
You Are The Love Of My Love
Love Put The Life In My Love
Your Love Is Living My Life
My Life Is Living For Love
Lovin' Your Life Is My Life
I Love Love Living Your Love
We're Love Life Livin' Life Love
(This Is) The Land That I Love

EvilHomer - 2015-02-20

"Love of My Life", the Will Sasso Storytime, and a few of the El Asso Wipo skits. Also, anything with Nicole Sullivan, on account of she was hot.

Phil Lamarr and Will Sasso were probably the only cast members worth a damn during the show's entire run. They were wasted there.

chumbucket - 2015-02-20

I still laugh at the Kenny Rogers skits.

memedumpster - 2015-02-20

Was the Saturn car company stalker/kidnapper skit Mad or SNL?

Nominal - 2015-02-20

Phil Lamarr? AKA Jack the UPS guy?

Is everybody forgetting that Artie Lange started on the show?

Bort - 2015-02-19

Dull and predictable until the end.

Meerkat - 2015-02-19

People are laughing at this? Or was it a laugh track?

Potter - 2015-02-19

Why do I not believe this ended here and didn't go on for another 4 minutes.

Hailey2006 - 2015-02-19

I used to think this was funny, too

John Holmes Motherfucker - 2015-02-20

Nearly anything that was ever truly funny on Mad TV was beaten to death. Remenber "Inside Looking Out", about the artsy, pretentious interracial couple, and the white wife was obviously racist? That was brilliant the first 2 or 3 times.

SNL does the same thing these days. It's not really their fault, I'm guessing with all the new media cutting into their audience, there's not as much money for writers, so they have to retool the same sketch over and over. There's a difference between "The Coneheads" AND "Wayne's world", which applied recurring characters to different situations and topics, and "Gilley" or "What's Up With That?", which is literally the same single joke over and over and over.

One thing I love about this bit is that speaks to me about the psychological impact of the JFK Assasination. It's long been a cliche to talk about the "loss of innocence" that followed that event, but this surreal image, blowing up Norman Rockwell, sums it up very neatly.

I was five years old when JFK bought it, roughly the age of Caroline Kennedy, and I had a little brother who was about the same age as John-John, This was definitely a loss of innocence for me. My Dad and I were watching when Jack Ruby sent Oswald to Hell on live TV.

memedumpster - 2015-02-20

To this day, Frank Sinatra has gotten away with having the president killed.

Jet Bin Fever - 2015-02-20

This is in incredibly poor taste.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2015-02-20

It really was. But ha! That is a GREAT Sam Donaldson.

Nominal - 2015-02-20

At the time, this was jaw dropping in a "Can they DO that?" kind of way. The same thing with the Bill Gates and dildo scenes in the South Park movie.

Watching it now it barely registers.
