I love Birdman, as well.

This was cute, but I've said it before: the target audience isn't going to get it, because hopefully they haven't seen the movie. But now kids will be curious and seek it out. And I've worked in movie theatres for long enough to know that parents don't read the synopsis or ratings first, and come out 15 minutes later demanding their money back. The only R-rated tie-in I remember as a kid was Sesame Street Fever, and by the time it came out it was well after the last days of disco anyway. I loved Sesame Street Fever but never saw the movie. The most "violent" tie-in I remember was when C3PO and RJD2 got lost on Sesame Street, and parents were up in arms about it since Star Wars had thematic elements us kids shouldn't have been exposed to.

I dunno, that was like 30 years ago when I was the target audience of 0-4.. did they do a Pulp Fiction parody too in the 90s? Pulp Trashcan: Asks Oscar "DOES THIS LOOK LIKE A B! THEN WHY YOU TRYING TO SAY IT LIKE THE LETTER P!?!" I'll be back to complain more when they do 'Fifty Shades of Grover'
