'So did he drive his bike through the Walmart?'

'YES!'

sasazuka - 2015-03-14

My suspicion is that he really only rode down the escalator, past the checkouts, and left the store through the ground level doors, like in a fairly short and straight line, he wasn't cruising down the aisles in the merchandise part of the store or anything.

Not that that's any excuse for his still rather dangerous actions.

Cena_mark - 2015-03-14

I was initially cheering him on for his daredevil badassery until I saw how close he came to hitting children at 1:54. The kids saved themselves by moving aside on time. He definitely would have squashed the one in blue had the kid not dodged.

infinite zest - 2015-03-15

Yeah.. all things considered he's going pretty slow if security's able to chase after him at the same speed, but it definitely could've caused some serious injuries if not death. But then again if you're riding your motorcycle through a Wal Mart, safety for others probably isn't the first thing on your mind.

Cena_mark - 2015-03-15

I don't mean to sound so uptight its just that hitting kids wouldn't be funny. Running over the elderly is hilarious.

garcet71283 - 2015-03-14

There's some very Canadian police work going on here.

I like how, "blowing through the stop signs, not even tapping his breaks" is relevant at this point. Also, mentioning that driving a motorcycle through a mall and a Walmart is also and arrestable offense...

infinite zest - 2015-03-15

I like to think the "holy shit" warranted a quarter in the police station's swear jar.

kingarthur - 2015-03-15

I worked dispatch. Were they American, every other word would have been a loud screaming swear.

The Mothership - 2015-03-14

I'll just leave this right here.

infinite zest - 2015-03-15

Hehe.. my first thought as well. Hate to say it but I was a little disappointed that there wasn't more in-mall-time.

fluffy - 2015-03-15

Same on both counts.

MacGyver Style Bomb - 2015-03-15

Holy fuck, the horn honking lines up perfectly.

Sanest Man Alive - 2015-03-15

Exactly what I'd hoped for as soon as I saw this on the front page. Thank you.

Hooker - 2015-03-15

Surrey is the most magical place in Canada.

Hooker - 2015-03-15

Also, this hero's identity is still unknown and he is still at large. It could be anyone. It could be me!

Cena_mark - 2015-03-15

He was making good use of terrain unavailable to police cars. Really he'd just need to ride long enough to exhaust the helo. Tiny police helos don't have fuel capacity to stay in the air too long and would be required to come back in way before they run out of fuel for the safety of the crew.

Chancho - 2015-03-15

Some neighbourhoods have dollops of dog shit covering every surface and the entire area reeks of shit. It's unbelievable that people can tolerate the smell but they love their furry shit factories and can't be bothered to clean up after them.

infinite zest - 2015-03-15

Surrey does look pretty cool. I've only visited Victoria (love) and Vancouver (too big for me).. and I don't think I've ever seen a city's population quadruple in 30 years. I might check it out if I'm up there again.

infinite zest - 2015-03-15

The neighborhood I grew up in down in Portland was (probably is) still like that. It used to be more lower-middle-class but then all of a sudden it was hip so it's probably upper middle class and I swear everybody has 3 dogs. There's this nice dividing grass path that went all the way to my school that we used to walk on, and I was over there the other week and now it's just where everybody lets their dogs shit. There are scooping laws but I don't they apply, or at least the owners don't think it applies to them, since it's not on somebody's lawn. And I think the city's just given up on it.

Hooker - 2015-03-15

I grew up in one of the poorest areas of Surrey. Forget the dog shit; it had actual dogs (usually completely untrained rottweiler and german shepherds) running free as the wind. Scary shit for a six-year-old, let me tell you.

Flying Omelette - 2015-03-15

Watching this with the sound off... Crazy Motorcycle music from Final Fantasy VII automatically starts playing in my head.

Nominal - 2015-03-15

This place has everything!

The Mothership - 2015-03-15

Lot of space in this mall.

MacGyver Style Bomb - 2015-03-15

I did this in a game of Shadowrun a long time ago, except it was in a hospital.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2015-03-15

Just another day in Dixie Square.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2015-03-15

So did he die right after this? Is that what the bit at the end for "in memory of" is about or was that sarcasm?

yogarfield - 2015-03-15

Viral marketing for the new Terminator movie.

chumbucket - 2015-03-16

He's not going to evade this 5 star pursuit.
