because its garbage

That guy - 2015-04-08

Holy crap! Choco J is right this time.

Willis341, the poster, made this and Super Babies: World of Trouble, and I'm not detecting sufficient ironic thrust for either of them to escape the total garbage event horizon.

Everyone below thinks someone found this and thought it belongs here....?
Willis341 made this and is asking for money.
Obligatory 1 star, in my eyes.

If you can't make it, NOBODY WILL!

Lurchi - 2015-04-08

Thanks mom!

chumbucket - 2015-04-09

Pledge enough and you may get to Beta test it!!

StanleyPain - 2015-04-08

Oh look, it's like every 5th game on Steam Greenlight.

EvilHomer - 2015-04-08

How is Steam these days? I haven't bought a single game from them since that Empire: Total War disaster, but I'm giving serious consideration to breaking my boycott for Mortal Kombat X. (seeing as I actually intend to pay for this game, it's either Steam or PS3, and I'd much rather have it on PC)

The Greenlight and Early Access system has brought in a shit-ton of good games and the platform has gotten popular enough to where the overall selection of titles (from hardcore to casual) is much better than it has been in the past. Also Humble Bundle and a few other of those discount bundle sites work with Steam.

The downside is that a long with the shit ton of good games there are also a shit-ton of terrible games, many of which are Early Access titles (where you effectively pay for a beta version to get the final release cheaper than new) where the developers clearly never intend to update the game, just to make as much money as possible off of a limited concept, then abandon it. Unfortunately, Valve has basically let a lot of this shit go totally unabated with just a "buyer beware" disclaimer. My advice, personally, is to avoid Early Access unless it is very cheap and the developers routinely interact with the community and have a good reputation.

I might be convinced to pay for Brad Roberts Clubbing Simulator 2015.

In case you were wondering about that song, it's not Queens of the Stone Age, but Desert Sessions, another one of Josh Homme's super groups. I haven't heard this song since high school. That's the guy from the Dwarves singing.

Gmork - 2015-04-08

I knew that wasn't queens. Whatever it was got muted about one minute in. Terrible gibberish.

From the Kickstarter: "Imagine playing Age of Empires: Rise of Rome in first person with a team, all gathering resources (wood, stone, gold, food, and now women) in order to build up your empire."

Women! Is this their answer to the age-old RTS question, "How does harvesting gold and wood afford me a human being on horseback?" As in, you'll battle over the reproductive abilities of women in order to out-gestate your opponent? That's crazy, they're crazy, and they should return every nickel of that their reluctant moms scrounged together.

memedumpster - 2015-04-08

It's a game where you club a bunch of Andrew WK's and then kidnap women! I was skeptical about poeTV being your chosen advertising platform, but I think you may have picked your target audience wisely. If you add wolves that have a piss attack, some clown shamans, and lots, LOTS, more random fire, you got a winner.

Oh, your building materials are clipping through your cave walls, put them on their own depth layer.

Tell your friends!

zerobackup - 2015-04-14

I applaud his ambition as a 1 man-dev team making a 3d game but this is not anywhere close to ready for market. It's all around creepy looking.
