I only saw Time Traveler once, but I blew like (it was a game) and beat it.

It's a terrible game but the "hologram" effect (a simple fresnel lens if I remember right) is actually really cool, it's like a real life 70s sci-fi movie effect.

Just to clarify, the hologram effect i also awful. But it's cool.

The effect looked cool with Time Traveler because it was specifically made for it. THere were a couple other shitty games that came out for this kiosk which were basically just crappy, generic 2-D games with transparent backgrounds.
But yeah, I remember when it was new and it cost a fortune to play.

I first saw and played Time Traveler on the Ocean City boardwalk. Just an awful game, but I'm sure I probably pumped into it.

The Time Traveler I remember had a lower playfield. Think the table-top Ms. Pac Man machines with a plastic dome over the top that you could see from any angle. In that case it was kind of cool because I could watch others waste money on it while saving my own for more important things, like the claw game..

It plays even worse then it looks Nominal.

The animation's not that bad IMO, and I'm just assuming this is a quick 2 player demo with nobody controlling player one and is just used to show what it looked like rather than the gameplay. Kinda surprising that it was developed by Sega, who also did Eternal Champions and of course Virtua Fighter and such.

It's doesn't look bad for what they're trying but I looks like it plays like a cement truck.
