My family got this when I was a kid. I don't believe we ever successfully played it, we'd usually get bored and put in the clue movie.

Bought the entire game in mint condition at a yard sale for .

Still felt ripped off.

It's no Nightmare, that's for sure.

Played this at a friend's birthday party years ago. Turns out the friend had watched the whole thing and memorized it beforehand, so, it didn't really work out so well.

I watched this a few times as a kid. My family tried playing the game once and it was a disaster. It was insanely complicated and fiddly for something trying to be aimed at your everyday market.

If you look carefully, it's the same set as the actual movie.

I used to go to this afterschool program where they had a game like this with a VHS tape, it was called Atmosfear or something like that, where you have to choose from characters called "Harbingers" such as a Mummy, a Zombie, a Poltergeist, and a Vampire, and you were all trying to escape hell or something like it I think. It was actually pretty fun, at least until my fundie pentecostal foster mom found out about it and we weren't allowed to play it anymore.

Sounds like yours might have been the 1995 edition, but I can find no information on that version specifically.

I remember as a kid trying to play this with my sister. She lost interest at the point where I had to shuffle and deal the cards.
