You Maru fan-boys can keep Maru, I'm all about Hana. In part because she looks like one of mine who died a while back and I'm still kind of heartbroken, but also because Hana is being a good buddy to Maru.

Bort - 2015-04-30 Died on his feet, literally. I came home and discovered him standing, leaning against a table leg, his eyes open, his upper lip curled into a snarl. That was pretty damn metal of him.

My wonderful, bitchy little cat has a similar licking problem. She's a former stray, and spent an unknown time on the street- can't have been that long, since she's two years old, max, and had an owner at some point since she was spayed and chipped (with nothing but her name- way to protect your cat, assholes) and while she's mostly wonderful, she's still kind of a garbage-can alley cat and if you don't do what she wants, she WILL bite you.
Except sometimes she'll get stuck in a kind of licking trance, and cuddle up to you so she can make the bites all better.
By rasping your skin off until you decide it's time for her to move. Seriously, she will not stop otherwise- I've let her sit on my lap and lick my elbow for 15 solid minutes as an experiment.

Simillion - 2015-04-29 She is trying to lick the meat off!! Seriously, the meat comes off with enough licking. The skins are too flat so can't bite off, so licking off maybe will work.. yes! The skins is red now, soon it will peel and tasty tasty...

Bort - 2015-04-29 My old Hana-looking cat was likewise a formerly-owned stray ("abandoned" is probably a better word for it, fucking college kids) and he too would groom my arm in one spot until it started to hurt. Best-tempered cat ever. Best cat ever, period.
