It's funny, because it's true.

EvilHomer - 2015-04-29 I have to dispute his dissing of the new kharacters, however. This is actually the first MK game since Mortal Kombat III where most (not all) of the new characters are actually decent. They're pretty good in fights (especially Jacqui and Cassie), and the fact that John Vogel made sure to tie the new character's storylines in with the old helped, too.
I'd rather they Tekken it up with nepotism, than pull some multiverse/retcon every couple years like a DC comic book franchise.

The Steam review war over the pre-installed DLC is especially funny. Basically a ton of people are trying to defend tacking onto a game for content already in the files as a "season pass" despite the fact the only thing being added are playable characters and that they already exist.

With things like this it's just best to wait. In 6 months time everything will be available for 30 bucks with all DLC enabled on a steam sale.
People who pre-order or buy on launch day are suckers.

StanleyPain - 2015-04-29 That's why I'm waiting for Evolve. The core game is already down to for the disc version. I'm sure a version with all the content is very close.

Old_Zircon - 2015-04-29 I just stay 1-2 generations behind.

EvilHomer - 2015-04-29 In this instance, I freely admit to being a sucker. In my defense, I am a tad bit obsessed with the MK series, and thus am perfectly willing to pay extortionate fees for MK merchandise. I have also not paid money for a game since 2009 (a handful of Paradox titles, bought well after the fact, notwithstanding). Mostly, I just wanted to pay money so that Ed Boon would keep releasing new Mortal Kombats on PC, albeit preferably ones that are not quite so problematic.
On the balance, I feel OK with my choice. To anyone else, though, I would not recommend paying what I did.

Dib - 2015-04-29 If anything, GTA5 proves the rule. Consoles were essentially the early release suckers who wasted their money on the incomplete game.
